About Kelly
Welcome - I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Kelly, and I’m a Registered Social Worker and have been privileged to work in this field for the past 17 years. I’ve worked with children, adults and families in various settings - including child welfare, health care (both community and hospital) and in adult mental health. What I’ve learned is that life certainly has a way of throwing us curve balls when we least expect it - myself included! I believe that everyone deserves to be heard and seen, even if that’s not been their past lived experience. I bring a gentle & authentic perspective to my work and my goal is to help you identify what’s creating barriers in your world, and work together on finding ways to navigate those challenges. I am especially passionate about working with folks on their parenting journeys (because let's be real - parenting is HARD!), specifically those who are (or are considering) foster or adoptive parenting.
I am certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (with a focus on Trauma), a Certified Clinical Trauma Practitioner (CCTP), along with having completed additional coursework related to both Adult Attachment and DBT skills. I draw from numerous evidence-based approaches in my work including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, to name a few.
In addition to offering individual psychotherapy services for adults, I will also be fulfilling the role of Intern Program Manager at Honest Truth Support Services. I have had the pleasure of supervising multiple interns from varying backgrounds and programs throughout my career and I believe wholeheartedly in curating collaborative and experiential learning environments that promote personal autonomy and professional growth. I have completed coursework in Clinical Supervision & Leadership and have worked in a Clinical Supervisor capacity formally for the past several years.
Last but not least, I am offering Clinical Supervision and consultation services. Whether it’s working with supervisees or clients, I strive to bring my most authentic, approachable self and foster a space that’s free from judgement – hand in hand with a steadfast commitment to ethics and best clinical practice. I vividly recall the early days in my career – feeling like a deer in the headlights and feeling uncertain. It was seasoned mentors who helped guide me through, and now I am pleased to pay it forward and support the growth of my fellow clinicians. If we work together, you can expect a safe and supportive space; where curiosity and self-reflection is not only promoted, but encouraged.
When I’m not working – you can find me enjoying time with family, binge watching Netflix, laughing at sarcastic memes online, trying out a new recipe or diving into a new book.
If you are curious about working together, please feel free to reach out – I’d love to connect with you.
