Trauma is a Bitch

Recovering from trauma can seem like a never ending battle of pain and suffering. Thankfully this will not always be the case. It does take hard work, education, and dedication to yourself to overcome the negative impacts of trauma, but it can definitely be accomplished!!

There is a frame work for trauma recovery which focuses on 3 phases:

1- Safety and Stabilization 2- Remembrance and Mourning 3- Re-connection and Integration

This framework helps to guide a therapist and yourself on your recovery journey. It really does help to see where you stand and know what to expect going forward.

I am living proof that trauma healing is possible! I'm in Phase 3 after suffering over 30 traumatic experiences over my short existence!
